Natural Treatment for Cold Hand and Feet
Everyone might be having cold hands and feet, but the ones who have them with slightest change in temperature like walking in an air conditioned room or opening your refrigerator then it needs some care to be taken of. Try the following ways to deal with cold hands and feet: - Swing your arms in a windmill fashion keeping the fingers, wrist and elbows straight. This will help to boost blood circulation till the tips of the fingers.
- Include fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids like salmon, mackerel, and herring as they help to reduce the painful blood vessel spasms which restrict blood flow.
- A woman generally has the core body temperature lower than man as most of them are iron deficient. Low iron stores can alter thyroid metabolism which regulates the body temperature. If your iron stores are low then pump up your iron stores by consuming more absorbable form of iron like from fish, lean red meat, poultry, dark green leafy vegetables, lentils, whole cereals and tofu. By adding a dash of vitamin C in the diet in the form of orange juice or lime juice along with an iron rich diet would be wise as it helps in better absorption.
- If your feet gets cold due to moisture sprinkle absorbent foot powders that will help to keep your feet dry. Wear a warm pair of socks before going to bed.
