If you are suffering from vaginal irritation, there could be a couple of reasons for it. The first and most common one is a lack of proper hygiene. If you have long vaginal hair and do not clean your vagina appropriately, then you will find that irritation is normal and an everyday occurrence. You should keep your hair trimmed to no more than a centimeter in length this will always help in maintaining general health and cleanliness. You should also make it a point to clean your vagina regularly and properly. Remember to wash it at least twice a day. The way to wash is to use a disposable washcloth, or simply use the shower to wash from the front, going to the back. Use warm water to clean your genitals. This is always a good way to get rid of lingering odors and clean out any deposits that may have accumulated since the time you last washed. In order to sanitize your genitals, you can also use baking soda to wash yourself. Simply make a solution with a teaspoon of baking soda in a large mug of warm water and sue this to clean yourself out. These are the possible simple and easy to tackle causes of any small or large vaginal irritation you may be suffering from.
There could also be other things that may be causing this irritation. It is possible that you are suffering form a surface infection and are generally unaware of it. This is a fairly common phenomenon. In order to take care of this situation, you can apply a generous coating of fresh yogurt to it. Leave this on for at least about 15 minuets before washing off with warm water. The live and active bacteria in the yogurt will work towards destroying any surface bacteria present on your genitals and will provide relief from the irritation as well. If you are suffering from a full blown urinary tract infection (UTI), this will also cause irritation in your genitals. In order to combat this particularly annoying state, you can start drinking large quantities of cranberry juice. This will help to clear up any mild infection that has not been around in your body for too long a time. You can also drink large quantities of water to clear up your infection. This will help also by flushing out toxins via urine and helping to keep your urinary tract clean as well.
