How can i stop underarm sweating?

Although it is quite natural and we all sweat, some people tend to sweat more than others. The purpose of sweating is to keep the body cool and to maintain the internal temperature in a natural way. However, excessive sweating, especially underarm sweating and the resultant odor, can sometimes be embarrassing in any social setting. Excessive sweating is also referred to as diaphoresis or hyperhidrosis in medical terms. In order to stop excessive sweating, especially underarm sweating, you can use any of the following home remedies for underarm sweating:
- Mix red vinegar and lavender essential oil in the ratio of 1: 3 and keep it in a dark bottle for one week. Everyday shake the bottle well for 10 to 15 seconds. Use this mixture in your bath water by adding two teaspoons in your bath tub. This is one of the most effective home remedies for underarm sweating.
- In order to stop underarm sweating naturally, apply apple cider vinegar or lime juice to your arm pits just after bath, without drying the area. Gently press the towel to dry thereafter.
- Instead of caffeine drinks, drink cold butter milk 3 to 4 times a day. Alternatively, you can drink cold fresh lime juice also.

Scientifically referred to as sleep hyperhidrosis, hot flashes or night sweats are marked by excessive sweating at night while sleeping. Hot flashes are not caused by environmental factors; rather, they are caused by hormonal imbalances, intake of contraceptive pills in women, and certain infections including tuberculosis, cancer and AIDS.Some of the remedies for hot flashes and night sweats are as under:
- Intake of sage tea helps cure hormonal imbalances in women, easing menopause and perimenopuase phases, which are the prime causes of hot flashes. You may prepare sage tea by boiling sage leaves in water and straining the decoction, and then consuming it with some honey every night, before bed.
- Motherwort has also been effective in treating night sweats and hot flashes.
- Another treatment for hot flashes and night sweats is the use of aromatherapy. You may use thyme or basil essential oils by dabbing cotton balls in one of these oils and storing the cotton balls in a vacuum container. You may smell these cotton balls for instant relief.
- Another natural remedy for relief from hot flashes is to consume a decoction of licorice roots.
- You must avoid eating spicy goods like ginger and pepper, white sugar, and saturated fats like red meat. Also, avoid drinking and smoking.

Scientifically called sleep hyperhidrosis, night sweat is a condition in which a person perspires excessively while sleeping, to the extent of dampness of sleep wear and bedding. In order to distinguish night sweats caused by environmental heat from those caused by medical causes, doctors refer to the latter as hot flashes.
The prime causes of hot flashes are hormonal changes during menopause in women and certain infections including tuberculosis, HIV and cancer. Some of the useful and effective night sweats remedies are as under:
- Intake of sage herb helps cure night sweats by regulating the sweat glands and retaining the hormonal balance. You may prepare sage tea by boiling sage leaves in water, straining the decoction, and sweetening it with some honey. Drink this before bed.
- A decoction of licorice roots also helps prevent night sweats in women. It helps reduce the estrogen level and augments progesterone concentration, alleviating the condition.
- Motherwort has also proven effective in the treatment of hormonal imbalances and hot flashes.
- Avoid spicy foods, caffeine, alcohol, white sugar, ginger, tobacco, and red meat, among others.
- You can also use aromatherapy to treat hot flashes. For this, you will need basil and thyme essential oils. Dab these oils on cotton balls and store in an air tight container. You may inhale the essential oil-laden cotton balls for instant relief. It is recommended that you consult an aroma therapist before opting for aroma therapy.

Try these simple home remedies for sweating armpits-
- Keep your underarms clean (remove hair with the help of waxing or an epilator) as far as possible. You can apply a baby powder or talcum powder after a shower. Avoid applying deodorants or perfumes directly on your armpits.
- Soak white vinegar in a cotton ball and apply it in your armpits after a shower. The smell of vinegar will vanish after some time at the same time keeping your body odor away.
