Pallindromic rheumatism is an inflammatory arthritis that is characterized by rapid and severe attacks of pain and swelling of joints and surrounding tissues. These attacks are sudden and last for hours or even days before they subside spontaneously. The episodes of attacks increase with time though there is no damage done to the joints by this condition. Pallindromic rheumatism mostly affects knees, fingers and large joints. Men and women are both at risk of suffering from pallindromic rheumatism. In some cases, pallindromic rheumatism leads to rheumatoid arthritis. The problem with pallindromic rheumatism is that it cannot be diagnosed by a single test since its symptoms are similar to many other kinds of arthritis. So the diagnosis and treatment can take time. Also, because of the unpredictable nature of the attacks, treatment becomes difficult. There is no specific cause of pallindromic rheumatism. In most cases, the doctor first needs to cure other types of arthritis before treating pallindromic rheumatism.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a specific cure for palindromic rheumatism. But there are some home remedies that bring relief from rheumatism. Taking about two teaspoons of raw potato juice before meals is one of the most effective ways of treating rheumatism. You can also mix two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and honey along with warm water and take it daily. Bitter gourd juice is also a good medicine for dealing with rheumatism. For the first three months of the onset of rheumatism, have plain bitter gourd everyday. Then you can mix honey in it and take it as a daily tonic. Aromatherapy is also effective in alleviating the pain and reducing inflammation. Mix a few drops of rosemary oil in a bathtub and soak in it for about 20 minutes. Another effective tonic is mixing fresh carrot juice and lemon juice in equal quantity and taking a tablespoon of it everyday. Massaging your joints with almond oil strengthens bones and also brings relief from pain.
One can prevent any kind of rheumatism and other problems of bones, tissues and muscles by maintaining a balance of calcium, vitamins and phosphorous in the body. It is beneficial to include enough green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits (especially banana and prunes) and juices, milk and milk products in your daily diet. Sufficient Vitamin D through sunlight and a daily regime of exercise for 30 minutes is also helpful. You can take up activities like jogging, walking, swimming, rowing, and cycling.
