Home Cure for Irregular Bowel

Laxatives aid in regulating the bowel function. Not passing stools in a regular manner results in further complications. Licorice roots are quiet helpful. A teaspoon of the root is boiled in a cup of water for an hour. Do not cover the vessel. Remove the bowl and cool them. Strain and dilute with grape, apple or any other fruit juice. This is effective on consumption twice a day. To around 6 cups of boiling water, 2 teaspoons each of nettle, oregano grape root and plantain are added. A tablespoon of peppermint leaves are also added to the above to prepare Buckthorn bark laxative tea. It is removed from heat and cooled for half an hour. Strained tea is an effective laxative. Barley brew laxative tea is also an excellent remedy for improper bowels. Quarter cup of barley, organic figs and raisins are added to a bowl with 10 cups of boiling water. Triphala is available commercially and adds bulk to the stools. Side effects, such as cramps and irritation are not seen. The intestinal walls are stimulated and restored. Psyllium husk is a cooling substance, derived from a plant. Drink more water with adequate fresh fruits and vegetables in the diet. Increase the fiber in your diet.
