A cataract is an increasing opacity of the lens in the eye and it can cause severe vision deficiencies and even blindness. They result from free radical damage, which occurs with age. Other causes include, but are not limited to, poor nutrition, stress, toxins (including nicotine and alcohol), overexposure to the sun and genetic factors. Foods rich in antioxidants (vitamins E, C and beta carotene) slow down the oxidation process, which leads to rapid onset of cataracts. In order to ameliorate the condition you could try making a blend of celery juice and fruits like oranges and watermelon, or try mixing it with spinach and carrots. All of these are high in the above-mentioned antioxidants. You could have a tall glass of this blend twice a day.
However in order to get curative results you need to combine this diet modification with various other changes. Certain drugs exacerbate the cataract and they include birth control pills, anti allergy medications, anti depressants etc. So avoid these or regulate their usage if you need to consume them. Get regular exercise everyday and maintain a healthy body and a healthy mind. Avoid excessive use of the microwave, as the waves seem to be toxic to the proteins in the eye. Although most general knowledge suggests that celery and other antioxidant-rich food can prevent or help with an existing mild cataract, whether it can completely reverse the effect is not certain. Please consult a trained medical practitioner to ascertain the level of severity of the cataract.
