Rashes of any kind can be relieved in many ways. It is always a good thing, however, to know what is causing the rash. If you have no idea, and if the rash has persisted for more than a week, it is advisable to go to a doctor and determine the cause, thereby eliminating something serious or long term. In any case, you can always start with striking out a basic checklist. You could have broken out in a rash if you have eaten something new, started with a new medication or started using a new cream or soap. Try to get rid of these reasons and you will know if they hold true.
However, you can start working on eliminating the rash with gentle exfoliation of the skin. This will remove a layer of dead skin cells, and perhaps the reason for the rash as well. Use sugar and olive oil on damp skin and scrub in circular motions. Wash off with mild soap and warm water. Add a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of cold water and place this water on the rash for five minutes. This will sanitize and cleanse the rash. This should help with the burning sensation almost instantly. So will applying chilled milk cream. You can also apply a thick layer of fresh yogurt to the rash and leave it on for about 20 minutes and wash. If you have a burning sensation, this will take care of it immediately. To ease a burning sensation, you can also apply a paste made of sandalwood powder and rose water.
