It takes less then a second for a ball to hit the eye and even less time to know you are in pain. Try these simple remedies to ease your condition -
- Apply ice. Put some ice cubes in a plastic bag and apply it over your ice. Avoid putting any pressure on the eyeball though. Repeat 3-4 times in a day for 10-15 minutes. This will help to decrease the pain by constricting the blood vessels under the eye.
- After two days for better blood circulation use warm compresses. Place a cotton cloth or soak a towel in hot water. Squeeze excess water and place the hot towel over the eyes.
- Perform some simple exercise after two days. Place the palms of your hand over the eyes lightly. The heat from the palms will also have a healing effect. Take adequate rest and avoid any kind of eye stress.
- Visit a specialist if the redness is accompanied by pain, pus or infection to know the exact stat in which your eye is. Treatment would follow accordingly then.
