Take this decoction every two hours throughout the day for one day. You can then reduce the frequency to several times a week. However, the decoction you drink shouldn’t be older than 24 hours because once boiled, the pods lose their therapeutic property after one day. This is of course a long drawn procedure, but very effective at the same time. If you want a simpler remedy, you can make a tonic from two figs boiled in a cup of water. This should be taken for one month on an empty stomach every morning. Similarly, you can drink one glass of fresh tomato juice with a pinch of salt and pepper added to it on an empty stomach in the morning. Besides this, watermelon has a lot of fluid content, and taking it as a fruit or in the form of juice may help flush out the stones. Basil is supposed to have a strengthening effect on the kidneys; you can take a mix of 1 teaspoon each of the juice of basil leaves and honey every morning for 5-6 months.
