Honey when applied to a burn mark draws out fluids form the wound and efficiently cleans the wound. Place a dollop of honey on your tongue once every 4 hours and let it stay instead of sucking I in the mouth. Another way of relieving mouth burns is to rinse the mouth with salt water every two hours. Take half a teaspoon of salt and stir in 3 glasses of water. Keep rinsing every once in a while till you find relief.

The cool extract of black tea is also an excellent solution. Soak 3 - 4 tea bags in a small glass of water. The tea collected in the glass can be used to dab on the tongue once every three hours. The tannic acid found in the tea draws out heat from the burn and also cools and soothes the wound. If you still feel the pain after all these years then suck on small quantities of sugar from time to time especially placed on the area where the burn marks are visible. Sugar will relieve the ache and cause the marks to disappear faster.

Do not use any kind of mouthwash or toothpaste that is strong. The harsh chemicals in these products may only aggravate the situation and cause the marks to remain for a longer while.
