- Water and milk are non-acidic fluids and good for the infection. Avoid spicy foods as they can cause discomfort.
- With the help of a heating pad or a soft cotton cloth apply heat to the affected area 2 or 3 times daily.
- Make a paste of dry ginger powder with water and apply it to the area once a day.
- Rub the herb Chebulic Myroblan in water and make a thick paste. Apply it to the affected area for relief from pain and swelling.
- Take one leaf of the Peepal tree and spread some pure clarified butter on it. Hold it over the flame and warm it. Put it over the inflamed area and bandage it. Do it at night before going to sleep and leave it for the night. You can do this regularly till there is relief from pain and the infection reduces.
- Peel a leaf of Indian Aloe on one side and warm it. Sprinkle a little turmeric powder and the extract of Rasaut or Indian barberry. Now, bandage the leaf over the infected area and leave it for a few hours.
- Mix the seeds of asparagus with an equal amount of fenugreek seeds and grind them together. Make their paste with water and apply on the affected area.
- Make a paste of dry ginger powder and apply on the swollen area. Leave it to dry and you will find the pain subsides as the paste dries.
