The scars were probably caused by what is known as allergic contact dermatitis, in which an inflammation occurs in a localized area of the skin due to contact with an external substance. These substances could range from certain types of food, detergents, cosmetics and in your case, colored powder. Scars can take quite a while to heal, but there are some natural methods by which you can quicken the process.
Lemon juice is an excellent natural remedy for scar removal as it has the effect of a natural bleach. You can apply the juice of a lemon to the affected areas, or you can also gently rub a slice of lemon on the skin. Tomato juice also works well as a skin lightening agent. Apply the juice of fresh tomatoes and allow it to remain on the skin for about fifteen minutes, before washing it off. Massaging the scarred areas with warm almond oil will serve to lighten the scars gradually. Scars left behind by allergic reactions can also be treated using fuller’s earth. You can prepare an effective face pack by taking a couple of tablespoons of fuller’s earth and a few drops of lemon juice. Then add some rose water and mix into a thick paste. Apply this to the affected areas and once it becomes dry, rinse with cool water. You can use this face pack twice daily until the scars fade away.
Fenugreek seeds are known to be helpful in scar removal. You can boil fenugreek seeds in water for a few minutes and then leave it to cool. Strain the solution and use the water to wash the face. If you do this regularly for a couple of weeks, the scars will start to disappear soon. Sandalwood is an age old remedy for the removal of skin blemishes. You can mix sandalwood powder with a little milk to make a paste and then apply to the scarred skin. Application of a paste of grated cucumber also helps to lighten the scars. You can also effectively make the scars fade away by applying mashed banana to your skin. This is quite a well known natural remedy that is known to bring positive results in a short period of time. Rubbing olive oil into the affected areas may help to reduce the scarring. You can even apply vitamin E oil as this is known to aid in scar removal. The juice of crushed mint leaves may also be applied to the affected skin.
