The excessive growth of hair, particularly on unwanted areas of the body can be a cause for concern. In today’s world body hair is something that is frowned upon and hence there is a constant scurry to find ways and means of getting rid of it. Here are a few home remedies that you could implement to get rid of unwanted body hair. Chick pea flour can be used for hair removal. Mix together cream, milk and chick pea flour to form a thick paste. This paste should then be applied onto the concerned area for about thirty minutes. Once the application has dried, scrub it off with the help of moistened finger tips. This remedy if performed on a daily basis is known to get rid of fine body hair.
Blend the white of an egg, add to it one teaspoon of corn flour and 2 teaspoons of sugar (powdered). Mix the ingredients well to make a thick paste. Apply this paste onto the concerned area and let it air dry naturally. Once the application has dried and formed a thin crust on the skin, peel it off gently. This treatment should be repeated every alternate day to get the desired result. Make a paste out of two tablespoons of honey and two teaspoons of lemon juice. Apply a thin layer of the paste on the unwanted hair. Let it dry for about 10-15 minutes, after which rinse it off with lukewarm water. This remedy if executed twice a week is also known to be effective.
Waxing, although a little painful, is one of the safest and easiest methods of getting rid of unwanted hair. To a cup of water add ¼ cup each of sugar and lemon juice. Heat the mixture on a low flame till the sugar melts into a thick dark brown liquid. Cut a piece of cotton cloth into strips of equal length (3 inches) and width (2 inches). Once the wax has cooled, spread a thin layer on the area to be waxed with the help of a butter knife. Make sure that you apply the wax in the direction of the hair growth. Now place a strip of cloth over it while ensuring that it adheres to the wax. Pull the strip in the direction opposite to that of the hair growth. This method is effective, as the hair being plucked out from the root, tends to grow back after a longer period of time.
