What can I do for curing Hemorrhoids?

Hemorrhoids or piles, while a common problem, can be quite painful. There are a number of steps you can take to deal with piles from the comfort of your own home. But, before you start, do check with a doctor as it is important to get medical help with this condition. If your piles has been caused due to Constipation or, at the other extreme, diarrhea, then you need to take care of that problem first. Look for measures that will enable you to make stools softer. Rather than artificial options, the number one solution for this is fiber. You need to include lots and lots of fiber in each meal. Fruits and vegetables should now become the greater part of your diet. Processed foods should be eliminated from your daily routine. Often either heat or cold application can be helpful. This typically provides temporary relief. You could find your discomfort ebbing away by being seated on a cold compress. It's easy to make one at home using a plastic Ziploc bag and small bits of ice. You can use layers of tissue paper to place over this, before sitting. Besides the relief that numbness brings, this will also cut the blood that goes to your inflamed veins. Similarly, a warm bath helps. This can prove particularly beneficial just after visiting the bathroom.
Choose foods which are a good source of Vitamin C – the most common ones being oranges and lemons. The gel that you can extract from an aloe vera leaf is also very soothing and healing for your sores. Water, as always, is the best way to deal with such inflammations. It literally cleanses your body. Bear in mind that you have to be extremely careful when going anywhere near the affected area since it can be incredibly sensitive. Rough handling can cause things to get worse. When you visit the bathroom, you should clean that region by tenderly dabbing and wiping with damp toilet paper. Don't use any fragrant or dyed paper. The same rule applies to soaps. You can use a pillow to sit if it makes you more comfortable. A common recommendation is sitz baths. Steer clear of laxatives which could result in diarrhea, which would only make things worse. Avoid excess salt every day. You need your exercise and a good diet to match. Don't do anything strenuous. Check with your doctor before popping any pain medication.

Piles or hemorrhoids are essentially a condition involving inflammation of veins in the anal and rectal area, typically the result of constant pressure and irritation. This is usually the result of chronic Constipation, but may also be due to frequent or chronic diarrhea, as both conditions result in excessive straining and irritation of the tissues in the anus and rectum. For this reason, women often suffer from piles during pregnancy and during or just before menstruation, as constipation is quite common at these times. In such cases, there may not be much that you can do to address the causes. However, in most other cases, treating the underlying cause is the best way to treat piles.
As mentioned earlier, constipation is a frequent cause of hemorrhoids. In most cases, this is quite easily solved by drinking more water daily and consuming more food that are rich in fiber. This includes most fruits and vegetables, but in some cases, fiber supplements may be needed. This can be in the form of psyllium husk or flaxseed; the latter is particularly effective, and is also rich in omega 3 fatty acids, making it an exceptionally healthy yet natural dietary supplement. However, if you suffer from frequent diarrhea, then you may need to consult a doctor; as you may be suffering from some allergy or a chronic bowel condition. Obesity and hypertension are often aggravating or even causative factors in cases of piles, which is why if you suffer from either condition, you need to address it promptly.
In the meanwhile, till the underling causes are successfully addressed, there are several things you can do to reduce the pain and discomfort of piles. First of all, you should decrease your intake of spicy food; while this is not a cause of hemorrhoids, it can certainly aggravate them. Next, you can try topical application of a few simple remedies, such as a cold compress or aloe vera, several times a day. For a cold compress, you can use an ice pack, applying it for ten to fifteen minutes at a time. You must of course maintain strict hygiene when using all these remedies, but particularly with the ice pack one. Witch hazel is one rather effective herbal remedy for hemorrhoids that you can try too. Some experts also recommend using squat toilets rather than Western toilets, due to the increased ease they afford when passing stools.

Piles is a condition that affects a large percentage of people today. Bad eating habits, erratic sleep patterns, stress related to work are various reasons that led to the development of piles in people. This condition leads to the swelling of the veins in your rectum. In normal cases piles results is a painful condition. In extreme cases piles is also accompanied by bleeding.
If you are suffering from piles you should think of implementing drastic changes in your lifestyle. Stop eating all processed food, sugar, flour and other such things. Instead eat as much raw food as possible. Tea, coffee can aggravate the condition and it is better if they are avoided. Drinking a cup of warm milk at bedtime helps ease constipation. You can also try mashing a ripe banana in a cup of milk and drinking it. Figs, soaked overnight and then eaten the next morning can work wonders for people suffering from this condition. Bananas and papaya should be included in the daily diet. Peel a radish. Grate the radish, mix one tablespoon of honey and eat it.
In addition to dietary restrictions, regular physical exercise is absolutely essential. Also ensure that your sleep patterns are not erratic and get enough sleep everyday. Learn to relax by learning some yoga or meditation.
