Itchy scalp information

Hi. I don't have lice because I've been checked, but my scalp is always itching and I get small bite-like bumps on it. What could this be? Could it be an allergy to shampoo?

Itching is a direct result of dryness. It is possible that your scalp is extremely dry and needs conditioning to relieve you from the discomfort caused by the bumps. A good remedy would be to apply warm olive oil to your scalp and massage it in thoroughly. You can also substitute this with almond or coconut oil. Leave this overnight and wash off with a mild shampoo, preferably a baby shampoo, the next morning. Use cold water if you can handle it, as hot water dries up skin even further. Do this every day till you see results, which should appear in about a week. A weekly routine would be to apply and leave on henna to your hair. Mix the henna powder with an egg, milk cream, and a teaspoon of olive oil. Apply this to the scalp and hair and leave on for about four hours, then wash off. This might slightly color your hair with a tint of red, but the results will be excellent. You can also apply a mixture of one cup yogurt and 4 teaspoons of black gram flour to your scalp and leave it on for about an hour. Wash this off without any shampoo or soap.
