Natural cures for tooth pain
Tooth ache can be one of the most debilitating aches that not only makes your entire jaw throb with pain but can practically render you mindless with pain. Tooth ache can be caused by a number of reasons - tooth decay or an infected tooth which has infected the tissues surrounding the tooth which leads to swelling of the gums and thus the pain, a tooth that hasn't emerged completely from the gums or even gum related diseases. While it is important to consult a dentist and get an exact diagnosis and treatment for the problem, there are also some simple home remedies that can help counter toothache.
Clove works miracles for toothaches - you can either chew a clove, slowly releasing its juice and letting it stay there for half and hour, or rub clove oil on affected tooth. Alternately you could also apply oregano oil on the affected tooth, or asafetida powder with lemon juice applied using a cotton ball soaked in the mixture. Gargling with a glass of boiling water and a 1 tbsp of common salt also helps to disinfect the area and thus reduce the pain. Peppermint also helps reduce the pain, so you could boil 5 grams of peppermint with a pinch of salt in water and drink the solution or simply use peppermint mouthwash after your brush your teeth and after every meal. It goes without saying that it is extremely important to keep your teeth clean and germ-free, so brush your teeth twice a day and rinse your mouth Listerine. Don't ignore any dental problems since they can eventually affect your general health as well.
