Lip scar removal
Chances are that when the wound heals completely, the black color may go away by itself. In the meantime do not expose the hurt area to any direct sunlight. Sunlight may cause scars to become permanent. Use sunscreen or Vaseline on her lips while taking her out.
If the wound has healed but the scar refuses to go, it may not be a cause for worry. The scar may lighten and disappear over time. Here are some home remedies that can help to lighten the scar:
- Take half a teaspoon each of glycerine and honey. To this add a few drops of lime juice. The texture should be creamy and not watery. Apply this cream to the lips before sleeping and leave it on.
- Wash her face with some cold water and gently exfoliate the skin on her lips with the edge of the towel. Don’t do this if the area still hurts. Apply some almond oil or milk cream and leave it overnight.
- Vitamin E has been shown to be of benefit in lightening scars. You can buy vitamin E oil or cut up a capsule containing Vitamin E and mix it with some milk cream and apply it to the affected area.
- Always use a sunscreen on her lips when you take her outside. Be sure to check the sunscreen on a small patch on the inside of her elbow first to make sure that she does not develop a reaction to any of the ingredients in the sunscreen.
- A paste of milk cream , honey and banana may be applied like a lip mask and washed off after 10 minutes.
Follow any of these remedies and hopefully the scar will fade over time.
