I have ear drainage and it smells bad. It just itches, but does not hurt. Is this an ear infection? I used garlic drops and there was a burning sensation. Are the drops supposed to burn?

Here are few home remedies for the treatment of itchy ears.
  • To avoid the accumulation of earwax, you should use a warm wet napkin and clean the ear passage.  Make it a habit and practice it daily each time you bathe. This will ensure that wax does not pileup in your ear canals. As an ear wash the use of Colloidal silver is considered beneficial.
  • In the worst case, the wax in your ear canal may have hardened up and turned into a rock. To deal with this, put a few drops of warm vegetable oil into your ear canal. Use an eyedropper to pour the drops. Do this 2 -3 times in a week. The use of warm oil will soften up the wax and help in its way out of the ear.
  • The use of hydrogen peroxide is also considered effective in softening the earwax.  Use distilled water to dilute hydrogen peroxide. Squeeze three to four  drops of the distilled hydrogen peroxide into the ear canal. Place a cotton ball to prevent the liquid from flowing out of your ear.
  • To boost your immune system, consume Vitamin C rich diet. This will help fight  ear infections.
