I don't want to take drugs for my osteoporosis, what do you recommend?

If you are already on drugs for osteoporosis, it is not recommended that you stop them at once. You should consult with your doctor and make your drugs work in tandem with your dietary and lifestyle changes in order to achieve best and long lasting results. In fact, it would be better if you started with remedial measures and continued for a month and then tried to change your drug schedule. You should begin with exercising for at least 25 minutes each day. This will help you tremendously. If you can, try to walk in chest-high water. This is the best remedy, as it will take the weight of your body off your bones and joints and will still give you vigorous exercise.

You should try to include at least 1,500 grams of calcium in your daily intake. This will help to prop your weak bones and strengthen them gradually over a period of time. You can also try to increase your daily intake of milk to about three cups, yogurt to about two cups and soya in some form of the other as well. One of the richest natural sources of calcium is tofu, or soya bean curd. Try to eat this at least twice a week, and more if you can help it. But it is absolutely essential that you also take calcium supplements along with your dietary changes.
