What is good for Hemorrhoids?

The best way to take care of hemorrhoids is to ensure that you are not passing excessively hard stools. This is the only way you can avoid irritating your already existing hemorrhoids and making them much worse. The most effective way to do this is to add fibre and fluid to your diet twofold and cut back on carbohydrates by half. You should instantly increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables, bran, whole wheat, oatmeal and flaxseed. This will help to soften your stools considerably. Avoid white bread, meat and all goods that come out of a bakery. If your hemorrhoids are bleeding, a good remedial measure is to apply aloe vera gel to your rectum. This will help tremendously with the healing. You can also apply witch hazel to your wounds, which will also heal you quite quickly. A paste of turmeric powder and rose water will help heal wounds.

Keep your hemorrhoids dry by using a hair dryer on warm setting. This will help in healing faster, and will avoid further infection as well. Eliminate using toilet paper for about a week or so, and use water and wash your genitals with your hands. Pat dry with toilet paper, but do not rub, as this can irritate your hemorrhoids further. Avoid sitting on hard surfaces. Try to lie down and rest as much as you can.
