Fungal infection on face and penis

Fungal infections are caused by bacteria that are allowed to grow and multiply on human skin unchecked, this often occurs due to a low level of hygiene which provides a perfect breeding ground for bacteria to infect and eventually spread in the same area or to different parts of the body. Most type of fungus is normally harmless and results in the appearance of different kinds of rashes, that are generally scaly and itchy but they can be treated effectively using a variety of easy methods and preventive measures. The symptoms and causes of fungal infection however vary and depend on the type of fungus causing it and on what part of the body it occurs.

Normally in the genital areas moist skin is a major cause of bacterial infections and generally results In a yeast infection. This happens because sometimes after bathing these areas are not dried properly and get covered by clothing that does not allow the moisture to evaporate completely. These moist damp conditions are ideal for fungus to grow and spread and thus results in an infection. Therefore the best way to prevent an infection in the genital area is make sure your wash the area properly and thoroughly and then dry it off well before dressing up. Damage caused by a graze or a cut on the face may be a breeding ground for bacteria if left untreated , however fungal infections on the face generally occur due to the excessive build up of sweat and dirt in areas that are not cleaned properly (for example behind the ears). These infections can be treated and cured by following a proper cleaning regime and the use of topical anti-fungal creams. Consult your doctor for advice on which is the best cream to use.

Fungal infection natural remedies

Fungal infections are usually rather mild although troublesome, but if they are not treated soon they can get out of hand and require stronger medical treatment. It is therefore imperative that you are diligent with your treatment till the infection has been completely cured, and continue to be careful for at least a few months after.

One of the most important things to remember when fighting a fungal infection is that fungi thrive on moisture. It is therefore essential that you keep your face and penis clean and dry at all times. Regular washing is of course very important, but be sure to dry yourself thoroughly after you wash. Never dress up while you are still moist, as you will then end up retaining the moisture for at least a few hours. If you are likely to sweat, you should wash several times a day, and also apply an anti-fungal powder after washing. A couple of times a day, you can also rinse your face and penis with a solution of vinegar and water. Tea tree oil is also useful in fighting fungal infections, so you can apply some oil an hour before bathing, and later rinse yourself with vinegar and water.
