Ingrown facial hair is fairly common. This condition occurs when you attempt to give yourself a very close shave. In the process you cut off the hair very close and force it to grow sideways. This can cause an inflammation and result in a painful as well as embarrassing condition. A hot compress is usually the easiest remedy for an ingrown hair. Applying the hot compress twice a day to the affection region will help soften the skin and help the hair grow properly. If this does not happen and you find yourself with an inflamed spot on your face, it is time to consult your doctor.
The juice of Aloe Vera is very effective in treating ingrown facial hair. The gel from the leaf of an Aloe Vera plant is also very effective. Apply this to the affected area and leave it on overnight. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into a microwave safe bowl and add one cup of sugar to this. Add 11/2 teaspoon of cornstarch and ¼ cup of honey. Heat for two minutes and then mix well. Let this cool. Dust the affected are with some cornstarch and then apply the mixture. Leave this for twenty minutes before washing off with warm water.
