Constipation occurs if a person has less than three or three bowel movements in a week. The texture of the stool is normally hard and dry and the person feels like he is full. Constipation is not a serious ailment is normally a symptom of another disease or disorder. Constipation can be combated by including a lot of fiber in ones diet and drinking plenty of fluids. Make sure to eat breads as well as cereals and beans.
Exercise also helps combat constipation and helps build ones immune system. There is no direct link between back pain and constipation as the two are very rarely connected with each other. Constipation only happens when there is no bowel movement and this does not in any way put a strain on the back muscles. Maybe the back pain is due to something else and the constipation at the same time is just a matter of coincidence. However if the back pain continues to increase and constipation does not stop then it is important that you visit a doctor to find out if there really is a connection and whether it is indicative of something larger like a kidney problem or a stone and what can be done about it.
