Burned tongue sensation, Remedy for burnt tongue

I ate something hot. It has affected on my tongue in front. Now when I speak, my tongue touches teeth & I feel pain. What I do for this? Please tell me. Thanks!

A burnt tongue is quite troublesome and sometimes even painful, but it is usually a minor problem. All of us have experienced it at some time or the other, either due to carelessness or haste. If the burn is extremely painful and does not improve within four or five days, it might be quite serious and require medical attention, so you should visit your doctor. Normally however, the burn will heal on its own, and if you like you can use a few home remedies to speed up the healing process and soothe the burn.

First of all, you need to avoid eating any hot or spicy food while your tongue heals, preferably for at least a week. Drink plenty of fruit juices, preferably chilled, and in general you should eat and drink foods and fluids that are gentle on your tongue. Chilled foods in particular will soothe your tongue a lot, so if you like ice cream, here's your chance. Clarified butter is also supposed to help, so if you like you can try putting a little bit on your tongue a couple of times a day. It is usually not necessary to do any more than this for a burnt tongue.
