There are various methods of hair removal including tweezing, waxing and shaving. While tweezing is preferred, you cannot possibly use it on larger areas such as your legs. Although the easiest method of hair removal is shaving, I would suggest that you wax unwanted hair. Shaving often leads to ingrowths which in turn leaves scars.
You can buy a jar of hot or cold wax and using thin strips of cloth (cotton), you can wax yourself at home. If you would like to, you could also make your own wax at home. Heat a few spoons of sugar on high flame and when it has caramelised, add an equal amount of honey and stir it until it is a smooth bubbling golden brown liquid. Add a spoon of lemon juice to the mixture. Make sure that it is relatively cool before using it to wax your legs. If you find waxing too painful, you can use a razor instead.
To prevent ingrowths make sure that you always shave in the direction of the hair and not against it. Have a hot shower and exfoliate the area you are going to be shaving. This will help to slough off dead skin cells and open up your pores, thus preventing ingrowths.
