Severe and terrible itching of the nature you are describing is unusual and relatively rare. If you can feel as much as a hair falling on your face and it itches severely, then this is a problem you will need to get medical help for. It cannot be taken care of by using simple home remedies. While they may relieve you temporarily of the itching, home remedial measures will by no means be able to tell you what the problem is, where it stems from and how you can control it. It is preferable to show your skin to a dermatologist and get a proper examination of your skin done to ascertain what you are suffering from. There could be all manner of reasons you are suffering from this problem. It could be that you have developed a very strong allergy to something you ate, or something in the air. It could also be an allergic reaction to some material you have come in contact with. It could be due to extreme dryness of the skin that is the result of some sort of skin disorder. Basically, only a medical examination will be able to give you an accurate idea of what the problem could possibly be.
In order to get temporary relief from the itching, you can employ some ancient and harmless methods for momentary relief. Make a paste of rose water and sandalwood and apply this to your face. This would cool and soothe your skin tremendously. But before you apply anything at all to your face, dab a bit on one spot. Wait for at least two hours to see if your condition worsens. If it does, then do not use it as a remedy, or it could worsen your condition. You can also apply ice to your face. This will numb the surface and temporarily provide relief.
