Ulcers can be as painful as they are uncomfortable to deal with. There is a variety of home remedial measures available for curing ulcers, but they would all involve strict diets which you would have to follow. It is essential that you prepare yourself for the fact that the dietary changes you will have to make will be mammoth, and most of them may not agree with your palate. But please do remember that they will all be necessary if you want to get rid of your ulcers permanently. The first thing you have to prepare yourself for is that you will have to stop eating spices completely for at least six months. Only if you stay off them for such a long time will you be able to get rid of your ulcers totally. Anything less and you will find that the cure remains incomplete, thus giving you a relapse faster and more frequently.
Apart from this, keep a glass of milk to which you have added 50 ml of milk and fill it up with ice. Keep sipping from this glass all day. Keep the milk diluted, as this will be of maximum help. This method should be followed off and on intermittently. It will help you to get relief from the intense burning in the stomach caused by ulcers. Another remedy is to have a glass of warm milk with three teaspoons of castor oil added to it. This should be the last thing you have had before bedtime, so that it works at healing you while you sleep. Try to eat as much cabbage as you can, as this is useful in fighting ulcers. Carrot juice is also particularly helpful in curing ulcers. Increase your intake of bananas, as this fruit will help to soothe your irritated stomach greatly.
