I need help for a pinched nerve in my neck

A pinched nerve can be very painful indeed. When you have a pinched nerve in the neck this means that essentially you cannot move around at all. This can make it very difficult for you to go about your everyday work. It is better to sit relaxed in a comfortable chair. Avoid any sudden movements since this will only cause greater pain. You can play some soft music or watch something on television to relax. You can choose the most comfortable position and sit down with a pillow behind your back. You can use some hot water on the pinched nerve to seek relief. Dip a thick towel in some hot water and wring out the excess water. You can lay this towel on the affected nerve. The hotter the towel, the sooner will you experience relief. Keep dipping the towel in the hot water and lay it on the affected nerve. This will help soothe the pinched nerve and give you some relief. If you think you can bear it, then you can try another variation of the heat treatment. Heat a pan on the stove. When it is smoking hot you can turn off the gas. Now fold a towel in half and then hold this against the pan. Allow the towel to get hot and then lay it on the affected nerve. You can also simply tie the towel around the affected nerve. Long term heat treatment can help reduce the pain very effectively and also help you relax your muscles. For this reason a hot water bottle is a very good idea to help relax the muscles.

When the pain reduces a little bit you can also heat some oil and massage it into the skin. Avoid using force when massaging the affected area since this could only make things worse. In seated use the tips of your fingers and apply only a small amount of force on the nerve. For at least a few days it is essential that someone else takes charge of her heavy housework. Instead of doing heavy housework you should allow your body to relax. You should also not carry anything heavy. If the pain in your neck persists after a few days, you should consider visiting a doctor. This could be an indication of some other illness and it should be treated immediately.

You should also change your diet since a diet that is rich in potassium will help you get better soon. For this reason you should eat figs, milk, melons, dates, bananas and apricots.
