I am not aware of the specific cream that you are using, and therefore I cannot comment on whether you should or should not use it, but in general, no cream or home remedy can really get rid of a tan. A tan is developed when, as a result of exposure to sunlight, your skin creates additional melanin, the pigment that gives skin its color. The more melanin your skin has, the darker it appears, and therefore if you spend a lot of time in the sun, your skin becomes dark. This darkening of the skin is of course not permanent, but there is no way to get rid of it in a hurry. A tan will last for several months, depending upon how strong it is. The only way to help your skin return to its normal color is to reduce the amount of exposure to sunlight. The excess of melanin will gradually disappear, and if your skin is not exposed to too much sunlight, it will not create more melanin.
The best way to protect your skin is of course to avoid going out into the sun at all, especially when the sun is at its peak. However, this is not always possible; if you have to go out during the day, make sure that you apply adequate amounts of sunscreen on your skin. Better still, as far as possible wear clothing that covers the maximum area of skin, as this is much more effective and reliable than sunscreen.
As far as getting rid of pimple scars goes, once again, creams and most other topical treatments have no noticeable effect. More intensive treatments are available, such as steroid injections, dermabrasion, collagen injections, laser resurfacing, and pressure garments, but most of these are more suited to severe, widespread scarring, and are not particularly advisable for pimple scars. However, scars too disappear on their own, although they take a much longer time to disappear than a tan does. Meanwhile of course you need to ensure that more pimples and scars do not develop. For pimples, you can try using any over the counter ointment that contains salicylic acid. If this shows no results after a month, you should consult your doctor about other options. Finally, to take care of your oily skin problem, you should wash your face regularly, but avoid using soap too often. In many cases, soap aggravates the problem - it strips the skin of its natural oil completely, and as a result, the skin creates more oil to compensate. Try applying fresh aloe gel too; it is quite useful against both pimples and oily skin, and is sometimes recommended for scars as well.
