Suffering from Knee Pain

What are some of the natural remedies to ease knee pain?

If you are suffering from knee pain, there could be a variety of diagnoses about this condition. But they would all be subjective to a lot of other factors. A lot of information would need to be provided before any accurate diagnosis can be made and subsequent treatment administered for knee pain. The first thing to know is your age and gender. This would factor in greatly in figuring out what the knee pain is all about. If you are a female over the age of 50 years, this condition can herald the onset of arthritis. If you are a woman of any age, this can also indicate the same. But if you are younger than 50 years of age, then it would be the heredity factor that would be causing this condition. So it would be important to know your family history and so on. If you are a male, then the reasons could be different. But without coming to a diagnosis of any kind, it would be tricky to recommend specific treatment. There are some generic remedial measures that you can take which will help you with the pain. But they may act slowly, so you would need to be prepared for that as well.

The first thing you must do is make sure you get plenty of rest. This is absolutely important in fighting pain, no matter which part of your body is afflicted with it. If you are overweight, then you would need to stay off your feet as much as possible. It is entirely possible that it is your weight that is causing the pain in your knees. It would also help if you tried to shed some excess weight in the process. If exercise of the normal kind is too painful for you to undertake, then you can try to swim, which does not really allow your weight to be entirely on your feet. You could also opt for Yoga, which is a gentle yet effective way to lose excess weight. Diet control is another very good way to lose extra weight as well. Cut back on carbohydrates, fats and sweets and you will see yourself automatically becoming thinner. If you suspect that you have arthritis, then you should also cut back on eating sour foods such as vinegar and lime. This will help to keep your bones healthier. Adopt these methods for about a month, and if they do not work, seek medical help.
