Chamomile tea is another herbal drink that soothes the throat and can reduce the pain. You can also eat garlic since this will speed up the recovery process. You can take this in the pill form. Eating it raw is an option that you can explore and consume garlic with your everyday meal.

You can make another herbal remedy that will help you bring down the swelling. Boil some water. Add some fresh basil leaves to this. Let it boil till the water is slightly reduced. Add a teaspoon of cinnamon powder to this.. Allow to boil. Strain it and consume three times a day.
