In most cases, back pain isn't medically serious. It is generally caused by strains or sprains due to poor posture and lifting habits. Make sure that you always sit straight and never keep your shoulders slumped. Leaning forward either while sitting or standing will cause muscle tension and stress. Avoid slouching on couches as this puts additional burden on your spinal column. Pain in the lower back is generally related to posture and it affects the flexibility, stability, and strength of the spine. To protect yourself from further attacks, make sure that you are mindful of your posture. Lifting heavy objects strains your back muscles. Try to bend your knees while lifting anything heavy to reduce the strain on you back and spinal column. Do not twist while lifting any heavy items as this can cause serious damage to your vertebrae.
Lemon juice has always been considered to be one of the best and quickest cures for back pain. Lemmon juice contains Vitamin C, which has been proven to reduce and eliminate back pain. Try and have at least three tall glasses of lemon juice every day until your backache has subsided. Lemon juice is highly acidic and can cause pitting of the tooth enamel. Rinse your mouth thoroughly after you drink lemon juice to protect your teeth from this problem. If you are not fond of lemons, you can always have any other citrus fruit as all of them are high in Vitamin C. You can make a soothing poultice out of raw potato and apply it to the affected area. Potato juice is exceptionally beneficial in the treatment of lower back pain and related problems. Fry a few finely chopped garlic pods in mustard or coconut oil and massage your back with this oil for quick or instant relief.
