The color of the hair depends on the amount of pigment present in the strands of the hair. The presence of this pigment is determined by genetic factors. It is for this reason that light haired individuals will produce light haired children and vice versa. Hair begins to lose its color when the strand does not receive any pigment from the skin below it. This may be due to some illness or due to some genetic factors that are beyond the control of the individual. There are very few natural remedies for grey hair that have shown consistent results. However, an individual may try one or more of these remedies as it may work in his or her case.
Apart from following a healthy diet and lifestyle, one may go in for head massages to help stimulate the flow of blood to the scalp. This could improve the health of the scalp, thus slowing down the loss of hair color. Furthermore, one can try some yoga positions that help with improved blood circulation in the head and neck. Inversions of the body are used to promote the flow of blood to the head and neck regions. These poses have shown some signs of helping individuals with hair color loss.
