A scar is the result of the natural defense measure of the skin to heal itself. It occurs when there is a break in the top epithelial layers of the skin, as a result of which the skin cells quickly divide in order to fill the gap. However, if the wound is deeper and occurs in the underlying connective tissue, then the cells that form collagen start to act by forming a dense mass of fibrous connective tissue in order to fill the gap. This is what causes scarring. When the wound is large, extensive cell damage occurs and the fibrous mass that closes over the wound is greater; thus allowing the scar to be more visible.
One of the simplest ways to avoid permanent scarring is to avoid picking or scratching the wound while it is healing, and allowing it to heal fully by letting the scab fall off on its own. In terms of healing scar marks that have been present for a long time; you can use tomato, lemon or almond oil. The application of any one of these three remedies helps get rid of the marks at least partially. They can be applied in their natural forms directly to the skin. For example, you can directly rub a slice of tomato on the affected area. Avoiding junk food - eating a diet high in fruits and cereals and drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day helps speed up the healing process and thus reduces unnecessary scarring due to prolonged exposure of the wound to your external environment.
