Mental irritability is very simply, feeling irritable. The most common cause for this in today's society is stress. Some things that can help relieve the symptoms are:
- Getting away from whatever is stressing you out. Sometimes though, this is not possible as most of us have to work, etc.
- A drink of chamomile tea before bedtime.
- Getting plenty of rest. If you have trouble sleeping, then try taking a natural sleep aid like valerian. It comes in capsules and does not leave you groggy in the morning nor does it have any bad side effects.
- Get a hobby or join the gym. Doing something you enjoy and exercise are key factors in releasing endorphins that make you feel good about your self and the world around you.
- Take a meditation class or a yoga class. These two practices are very good for taking away stress and finding a sense of inner calm and mental peace.
- Take an herbal supplement of Hawthorn. This herb is mainly used for blood pressure and heart disorders, but it promotes a sense of well being as well. It does not have any side effects if you do not have a blood pressure or heart disorder.
