- Coconut milk may be used to gently massage the affected areas of the mouth. This is a soothing remedy which relieves itching and pain and can be done thrice daily.
- Chewing holy basil leaves helps in reducing inflammation in the mouth and also helps to prevent bad breath.
- Mulberry juice may be consumed to obtain relief from canker sores and ulcers.
- Prepare an effective mouthwash using a teaspoon of coriander seeds and a cup of boiling water. Once the solution cools down slightly, use it to gargle thrice a day.
- To alleviate pain and soreness due to mouth blisters, apply a small amount of peppermint oil to the affected areas.
- Add a teaspoon of glycerin to a pinch of turmeric powder, mix well and apply to the blisters. Turmeric has antiseptic properties and helps to restrict infection and inflammation.
- Rinse the mouth with a solution of two ounces of water, two ounces of hydrogen peroxide, a teaspoon of baking soda and some salt.
- A paste of Indian gooseberry also helps to treat mouth ulcers and may be applied to the affected areas twice every day.
- To prevent aggravation of the blisters, avoid consuming any food that is oily or spicy.
