Relaxation exercises are the best known methods to control tremors also known as shaky hands syndrome. For tremors caused due to stress, try relaxation techniques like meditation, yoga, deep relaxation, or breathing. The intake of any kind of alcohol as well as caffeine must be kept at a minimum at all times. Caffeine causes stimulates the nerves and in effect influences the movement of limbs, without the individual's control. To a large extent the conditioning on of shaky hands can be remedied through physiotherapy. Physical therapy helps to improve coordination and muscle control in the long run.
The patient needs to be taught how to support the affected limbs during the tremor with the help of balancing exercises through physiotherapy. Clasping the distressed arms close to the body at such times is useful in boosting motion control. The use of simple weights in exercise or other such equipment will help the individual to get better coordination as the limbs are gradually strengthened through the use of weight.
