Can you please give me some home remedies for permanent hair removal?

There are many home remedies that can remove hair temporarily, but there are none for permanent hair removal. The techniques used for removing hair permanently are those that involve use of chemicals, energy or both on areas that generate hair growth. These are imperfect methods, in the sense that 100% success cannot be guaranteed. They may also pose risks for the person undergoing them. Electrolysis is a popular method of permanent hair removal that involves inserting a metal probe into the hair follicles. The skin does not get punctured as the probe is hair-thin. Electricity is passed through probe into the follicle, causing damage to the areas which regulate hair growth. There are other techniques such as laser hair removal which does have a risk of injury associated with it and is also not a completely permanent method.

The best way to get rid of facial and body hair is to use natural remedies. There are many remedies that you can choose from. It is important to select a remedy or a combination of remedies that is suited to your skin type and extent of hair growth. Waxing is very effective and reduces hair growth considerably in the long-term. You can even use the sugaring technique at home by making a mixture of 2 cups of sugar, ¼ cup of water and ¼ cup of lime juice and heating the mixture until it has a thick brown consistency. You can then remove the hair by applying the wax to the skin and using strips of cloth, pull in the direction opposite to hair growth.

Shaving is another method of removing unwanted hair, but needs to be done often as the hair is only removed from the surface, leaving the roots intact. There are also depilatory creams and lotions available which help to remove surface hair. It is always advisable to do a patch test on a small area of skin first, as allergic reactions may occur. turmeric mixed with water is also helpful in eliminating growth of unwanted hair. You may also scrub your hands and legs using soap and a pumice stone. This is a method called friction hair removal and is effective in reducing hair growth if done for a long period of time. However, this method may result in pigmentation of the area and may also result in irritation of the skin. The hair can also be bleached naturally using lemon juice mixed with honey.

There is no home remedy to permanently get rid of body hair. All the known techniques to remove hair at home are temporary. Techniques for permanent removal of hair all involve intervention from medical or cosmetic professionals. Apart from being expensive, not all these techniques are entirely successful, and some also have associated risks. The best option is probably electrolysis. Other techniques such as laser removal are also possible, but these have a risk of injury and are not truly permanent. With electrolysis, the hair matrix cells under the skin are themselves damaged, and follicles are subsequently unable to produce hair.

If you want to remove body hair at home, you have the standard options — shaving, waxing, friction, threading, and a variety of mechanical epilators and depilatory creams. Because techniques like waxing, threading, and epilators remove hair from the follicles, they tend to be more painful but need to be performed less regularly. Shaving, friction, and creams get rid of only the visible part of hair, and are therefore less painful. However, the root of the hair remains and continues to grow, so you need to repeat the treatment more often. You should choose a technique that suits you and your skin type.
