How To Cure Epilepsy and Eye Infections Using Home Remedies?
Generally, people can suffer from many eye related problems like conjunctivitis (or sore eyes), styes, itchiness, swelling, inflammations and infections. Eye problems are quite common and are experienced by almost everybody.
Some simple remedies to soothe eye infections:
- Applying a hot compress on the swollen area of the stye, with the help of a piece of cloth, will help you in getting rid of it.
- A stye can be treated with a teabag, which has been soaked in water. Teabags can also help in reducing eye inflammation. You could use green teabags or chamomile teabags as these are anti viral and anti bacterial. Place teabags on your eye, twice a day, for around 5 minutes each time.
- Cucumber slices or cucumber juice brings immediate relief when applied to itchy or sore eyes.
- Aloe vera is very helpful in treating a stye. Cut the leaf and place its juicy side on your stye. You could also soak a piece of cloth in some aloe vera juice and place it on your eyes. The juice can also be used as eyewash.
- Use a warm compress, using rose oil, lavender, or chamomile, for conjunctivitis.
- Place a piece of cold bread on your eyes, to reduce itchiness.
- Rose water is excellent and could be used to wash the eyes very effectively.
Epilepsy Cure
This is quite a serious medical problem, because of which a person suffers from sudden fits. However, there are a few home remedies that can help alleviate this condition.
- There are some fruits that help in treating epilepsy, like grapes, figs and apples. Grape juice too is very effective. An epileptic patient should drink around 500 ml of fresh grape juice three times a day, daily, for three months.
- Vegetable juice, like carrot juice, combined with beetroot juice and cucumber juice are very helpful in treating epilepsy. The proportions for this juice should be 300 ml of carrot juice and 100 ml each of cucumber juice and beetroot juice.
- Pyridoxine or Vitamin B6 is very helpful in epilepsy. As the vitamin is involved in functioning of the nervous system. Brewer’s yeast, green leafy vegetables, legumes, cereals, rice and milk and peanuts are good sources of this vitamin and should be taken in doses of 100 mg to 150 mg each day.
- Reduce the levels of stress and anxiety by practicing yoga, meditation or other relaxation techniques.
- Follow the ketogenic diet, which is high in fat, but low in protein and carbohydrates, as this has been known to reduce seizures.
