Be persistent with your doctor about the cause of your gastritis if it returns frequently. I suffered from gastritis for 5 years and was told it was caused by stress. This turned out to be untrue because I had a gallbladder diesese that was more rare than others. Misdiagnoisis!
In some cases, gastritis is caused by stomach lining damage, from overproduction of stomach acid due to nerves. In such cases avoidance of acidic foods and drinks (tomato, citrus, lemon, vinegar, cow dairy, caffeine, alcohol) can relieve pain and allow stomach lining to heal. Water, herbal tea, or grape juice can flush acid out between meals. Relaxation, breathing exercises, and avoidance of stressful situations are essential to relieve the nervousness during the healing process.
Use fresh mint tea for various stomach ailments and aches. Fresh or dried fennel (Aniseed) is also good for stomach problems.
Take pure mint tea without sugar. Also chew mint and aniseed.
Take carrots,Aniseed and almonds regularly.
What works for me is drinking 1 0/0 milk, taking with my vitamins 1 Folic Acid in the morning and 1 folic acid just before eating supper helps keep the food from coming up again. Also I take acidohhilus in morning also. Sometimes just before bed my recital hemorrhoid has gas in it, then I take 2 Rolaids before bed and it goes back down to size.
Peel and wash small potato. Blend with small amount of water until potato is well liquified. Makes about a cup. Drink on empty stomach every morning for a month to six weeks. Avoid spicy foods and caffein for that period of time.
