Yes. I agree with Jill. I tried many things to cure the rash on my inner thighs and groin area that developed during warm, sweaty weather. Zinc Oxide / diaper rash cream cured it quickly and continues to keep it away. Ignore the nosy checkout clerks and just buy it. Nothing works better.
I like Gold Bond powder. It has zinc oxide and the powder absorbs moisture.
wipe the affected area with 70%1sopropyl alcohol .then apply any antifungul powder.repeat each time you feel itchy.avoid oily food, bread ,pizza, potatoes, starchy rice.basically stay away from all carbohydrate stuffs.
Nothing works better than zinc oxide. Get a diaper rash cream with a high percentage of zinc oxide as its main ingredient and apply for as many days as redness presists. Usually the irritation will be gone in less than 24 hours.
Some suggest keeping the infected area dry with "powder" meaning talcum powder NOT baby powder. The major ingredient in most powders is corn starch. The fungus feeds on the corn starch and will spread with the use of baby powder and some medicated powders!
try a wet tea bag to control the itch
Please apply coconut oil on the area of itch while going to bed. wear a loose cotton under garment that will obsorb sweat. avoid walking after application
SWAB JOCK ITCH WITH DILUTED VINEGAR
I found that washing the affected area with a solution of about two tablespoons of bleach diluted in about 16 ounces of hot water. Use a washcloth soaked with this solution everyday until the problem goes away. Usually two or three days. Works well for any fungus affected area.
