Symptoms of Incontinence


Some of the signs and symptoms of bowel or fecal incontinence include:

  • Inability to reach the toilet in time to pass stools
  • Inability to control the passage of stools or gas from the bowels, which may be solid or liquid.
  • People may also experience other medical conditions on account of bowel incontinence such as gas and bloating, constipation and diarrhea.
Signs and symptoms of urinary incontinence include:

  • One of the most common symptoms of urinary incontinence include loss  of bladder control which could range from just a few drops to moderate loss or even severe loss in some cases.
  • Urine leakage while bending, sneezing, lifting, coughing, laughing or performing any physical activity that would strain the bladder.
  • Leakage of urine while changing from a lying or sitting position to a standing position.
  • Constant leakage of the bladder.
