Home Remedies for Rosacea
Apart from the usual treatment options, there are also a number of home remedies for rosacea. It is important that you contact your dermatologist before using any of these home remedies for rosacea. Some of the well-known natural treatments for this condition include:
- Green Tea: Green tea contains powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that make it an effective home remedy for rosacea. Regular intake is very helpful in reducing irritation, inflammation, and dryness caused by rosacea.
- Oatmeal and Yogurt: A mixture of oatmeal and fresh yogurt is another natural treatment for rosacea. Apply this mixture on the face for a few hours and then rinse it off with cold water.
- Fenugreek: Drinking tea made from fenugreek once a day is one of the best home remedies for rosacea. Continue this treatment for at least 15 days for positive results.
- Chamomile: This is one of the most effective herbs for rosacea treatment. You can use it internally as well as externally for treating this condition. You can either drink tea made from chamomile flowers or apply it to the affected areas with a cotton ball for the treatment of rosacea.
- Licorice, Aloe Vera, and Honey: You can use a combination of these herbs for rosacea treatment at home. Combine a teaspoon each of aloe vera gel and honey with a tablespoon of licorice powder and apply this mixture to the affected areas. Let it remain for at least 15 minutes before rinsing it off. - Tomato Juice: You can combine fresh tomato juice with honey and oatmeal and apply the mixture to the affected areas as a natural cure for rosacea.
- Grape Seed: Grape seed contain powerful anti-inflammatory properties that are very helpful in the treatment and management of rosacea. You can apply a paste of grape seeds to the affected areas to cure this condition completely.
- Pine Tar Soap: This soap made from pine is one of the effective home remedies for rosacea. Make a thick soap lather over the affected area and leave it to dry overnight. Wash it off in the morning with cold water. Repeat this remedy everyday until the symptoms of rosacea start subsiding.
- Potato Juice: Prepare a paste by mixing a tablespoon of potato juice with a tablespoon of fuller’s earth. Apply this paste to the affected areas as a natural cure for rosacea.
- Tea Tree Oil: You can apply diluted tea tree oil on the areas affected by rosacea. Tea tree oil contains strong antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties that are helpful in the treatment of rosacea.
