- Include vitamin E, vitamin A and zinc in your diet.
- Consume 500 to 1000 mg of Ethinacea herb orally 3 times a day. You can also apply its cream or gel (containing 15% of its juice) locally 2 to 3 times daily.
- Take 200 mg per day of Pycnogenol which is an extract of the bark of some kind of a pine tree and promotes healthy skin.
- Take 1 to 2 gm of Thyme per day in 3 or 4 doses. Do not consume its oil as it may prove toxic and avoid taking it with blood thinning drugs.
- Take 60 mg of the herb Gotu Kola 2 times a day but avoid it if you suffer from anxiety or high blood pressure. It has a stimulating effect on the skin.
- Make a paste of Goldenseal and slippery elm and apply it on the affected area 2 times a day.
- Add 1 or 2 tsp of dried calendula flowers to 1 cup of boiling water and let it steep for 5 to 7 minutes. After it cools down, soak a cotton cloth in it and apply on the affected area. you can do this 2 to 3 times a day.
