Home remedies for dark skin
- Mix 1 tsp each of honey, milk powder and lemon juice and ½ tsp of almond oil. Apply it to the dark skin area and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash it off with cold water.
- Mix some oatmeal, tomato juice and curd and apply similarly on the skin, leave it for 15 to 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold or tap water.
- Rub the area with sliced lemon, raw potato or cucumber. You can also substitute this with grated potato or grated cucumber. Application of lemon juice, raw potato juice or cucumber juice will also lighten the skin.
- Powder some red lentil and make its paste with turmeric powder and lemon juice. Add some water if needed and apply it on the area.
- Dry some orange peel and powder it. Mix it with curd and apply as a mask to the dark area. Leave it to dry for 15 minutes and then gently wash it off with cold water.
- Soak 5 almonds at night and make its paste with milk in the morning. Apply it on the dark area at night before bed time and wash it with cold water in the morning. Do this 2 times a week for 15 days continuously.
