Gastritis natural remedies
Gastritis occurs due to mild irritation, inflammation, or infection of the stomach lining. This results in improper digestion of food and, if not treated properly, can result in ulcers too. Gastritis usually occurs due to excessive alcohol intake, caffeine consumption, overeating, stomach injury, stress, or bacterial infections. Some of the common symptoms of gastritis are: appetite loss, stomach pain and discomfort, nausea, vomiting, or fever. If you have severe pain and discomfort, it is recommended that you consult a doctor and get a proper diagnosis done to rule out any complications.
The following are some simple home remedies to control gastritis:
- Drink a liter of coconut water everyday. This helps in treating the problem of gastritis.
- Increase your intake of iron-rich foods, such as liver, red meat, tofu, cereals, beans, and egg yolks.
- Drink plenty of water, at least two to three liters a day.
- Drink lemon juice with a pinch of salt twice a day.
- Chew a small piece of ginger with a pinch of salt everyday.
- Take tamarind juice with cumin.
- Drink buttermilk and have curd to control gastritis.
Exercise regularly for at least 30 minutes a day. In addition, try to keep track of what foods cause gas, and avoid those foods as far as possible. If these measures do not provide any relief, there may be a deeper problem, so you should visit your doctor.
