The majority of foreign objects in the ear can be removed with ease. However, any attempt to remove the pebble by digging it out with a finger or using a pair of tweezers can result in it getting stuck further within the ear canal. This can result in various complications with the worst case scenario involving surgery to remove the stone.
You can however, warm a little oil and pour it into your ear. Make sure that you use oil that is not viscous or else the pebble may get stuck further within the canal itself. Lie down on your side when you are pouring it in and keep pulling at your ear and moving it around to ensure that there are no air bubbles trapped inside and that the oil has completely flooded your ear canal. After 20 minutes, you can allow the oil to drain out. Turn on your side, so that the affected ear is facing your pillow and keep tugging on your ear gently to dislodge the pebble. Do this for around 10 minutes or so. In all probability, the pebble will be out by then. If it is not out b then, contact your local doctor immediately as this is not a problem that can resolve itself.
