My Dietitian has asked me to consume Garden Cress, can u please tell a way to consume it

Garden Cress is the name of a plant which comes under the general mustard family and is also related to the watercress plant. This hardy annual is typically known for its rather sharp flavor, just like the related plants. It has been described to be sort of tangy and rather peppery in taste as well as in aroma. This fast-growing plant is common as a commercially grown one in places such as the Netherlands as well as England. One thing to remember about this fast-growing plant is that Garden Cress can grow with ease in almost any climate. For this reason, if your dietician recommends it so highly and if it works for you, you could consider growing this tangy plant yourself. In some areas of the world, Garden Cress is also revered for its use in medicine, although such use is not the mainstream use of this plant. The plant has vitamins like C and A, and other beneficial nutrients.

There are a number of ways in which Garden Cress may be consumed as it is an edible variety of plant. In general, Garden cress is usually served as a garnish rather than a main course. Thus, you could toss some Garden Cress over your favorite salad or over some soup. Even when making sandwiches, some of this peppery plant could be added. Usually, with sandwiches, even cut cress shoots can be added. If your dietician recommends using the seeds, dried seed pods of this tangy plant may be used if you need some seasoning. This is because the seeds of this cress plant have plenty of vital nutrition.

However, remember that this plant should also be consumed in moderation. Speak to your dietician about how regularly Garden Cress should be consumed before adding it to all your favorite meals. Also be sure that you do not suffer from any kind of sensitivity to Garden Cress since its strong flavor is not for everyone. Most people would consider more bland food as normal or regular food and would find the taste too pungent. Even if you find the taste acceptable, your digestive system might suffer a bad reaction because it is not used to the flavor of Garden Cress. As with any good vegetable or plant, one needs a balanced meal to benefit fully from a particular food. Thus, even though the plant offers a number of benefits, one has to ensure that one's diet and exercise reflects one's fitness goals.
