Information for moles on body

Moles can be a sign of various things, and these would include both good things and bad things. If you have suddenly developed moles on your body, you are advised to consult with your regular health care provider to start with. A family physician, who is familiar with your family history, would be able to determine whether or not your moles require further examination. Moles could be as a result of things such as hormonal changes, changes in the texture and condition of your skin as well as other unrelated things such as heredity. For women, moles can also appear during as well as after pregnancy. The reason for these moles appearing is that during pregnancy there are a lot of changes in the basic chemical structure of the body. The commonest repercussions of these changes are things like food cravings, nausea, exhaustion, changes in the complexion, sallowness and so on. One of the lesser known repercussions of pregnancy is also development of moles. In a lot of cases, these also fall off or simply fade away on it's own. But there are an equal number of cases where they simply don't. Once again, this is completely normal and will not really make any difference to your health otherwise, so these types of moles are really nothing to worry about.

In some cases, moles can also be the harbinger of serious illnesses such as cancer. If a mole is of a totally different shape, size and texture from the rest of your skin, then you can be assured that it requires attention. Of course you cannot right away assume that there is something wrong, and coming to any conclusion would always require a series of tests. Make sure that you do not delay examination of the mole, particularly if it is painful, weeping or bleeding. Apart from these reasons, there is always heredity in play. A lot of people inherit moles from their families. There is no established cause for this, and neither is there any cure for the same. For most part, if you notice that people in your family seem to have a lot of moles, you may find that you would have them too. A lot of times, they appear after the age of about 30 in women. They could manifest earlier or later, there is no real reason for the timing. For men, they can appear just about any time, and mostly do after puberty.
