Vomiting during pregnancy is common and is limited to the first trimester. It is more common in first pregnancy, with a tendency to recur again in subsequent pregnancies. It is more common in multiple pregnancies. Try these simple remedies:
Remedy for Vomiting
- One glass of lime juice with a pinch of cardamon powder can be given.
- Limit your diet to a single food, one that you know you can tolerate. Add one additional food per day as you can tolerate them.
- Don't brush your teeth immediately after eating.
- Powder 3-4 cloves and soak in a glass of water for half an hour.
- Strain and drink this water as and when required.
- Prepare ginger tea by boiling some ginger root in water. Strain it and add honey to sweeten.
- Keep your meals small and to drink plenty of fluids.
- Take a few soda crackers or dry toast when getting up early in the morning.
Remedy for Diarrhea
- Take a ripe banana and mash it properly. Add 1 tsp of tamarind pulp and a pinch of salt to it. Consume this mixture two times in a day.
- Take a tsp of date paste and mix with 1 tsp honey. This mixture is to be consumed 4-5 times a day.
- Prepare a paste made of 15-20 fresh curry leaves mixed with 1 tsp honey and eat the same.
- Drink a cup of strong tea or coffee.
- Take a ripe banana, add 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder to it and eat it on a daily basis.
